Southeast Gynecologic Oncology Associates

Kelly W. Segars, ARNP-BC is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with 5 years of clinical nursing experience in gynecologic oncology. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville in August, 2001. She then completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner at the University of Florida in December, 2006. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center, as well as registered in the state of Florida. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Florida Nurses Association, the Northeast Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, and the Oncology Nursing Society. She has also been a member of the Society of Gynecologic Nurse Oncologists since 2003, attending their educational conference annually, and has been published in their quarterly journal.

Kelly’s experience with Southeast Gynecologic Oncology Associates started in 2002 as a chemotherapy administration nurse in the chemotherapy department. She then managed the department from 2005-2007, until she became a nurse practitioner. Her clinical experience as a nurse practitioner include her experience at SEGO, as well as clinical rotations in clinical cardiology, women’s health with the Florida Department of Health, and other clinical experiences during her education at the University of Florida. She now provides care alongside the physicians, seeing patients in the hospital as well as in the office settings, playing an integral part in patient care.
